Replace a trait
Every building starts with three traits. Use the matching card to replace a slot on an idle building with no work pending. There is no installation fee or timer. A trait cannot appear twice on the same building; Honey Pot and Insurance are mutually exclusive.
What traits do
- Crooked Accountant increases hourly coin income. Tourist Trap increases visit income. Money Launderer grows market value on visits; this does not increase the Coins invested for resale.
- Honey Pot reverses a Hold-up: the attacker loses Coins and the owner receives them as pending income.
- Insurance compensates part of a successful Hold-up loss, never more than the amount stolen.
- Guard Dog blocks Sabotage against the building.
Overcharge
One Overcharge card permanently doubles all trait values, with guaranteed success. The building must have three traits and no pending work. It keeps three slots; you may replace its traits later. Overcharge cannot stack and does not make Insurance pay more than the loss.
Compromise and forced auction
Sabotage marks an eligible enemy building with a timed Compromise. Its owner can repair it with Coins based on actual investment; equipment may reduce that cost. Once the grace period ends, an unrepaired building can be forced to auction. If the Compromise expires first, it becomes inactive.
Forced auction cancels unfinished upgrades without refund. Upgrades already due resolve first. Surveillance blocks Hold-ups under its normal rules; it is not a general guarantee against every hostile card.
Season 12 reference. Balance values may change; the prices, timers and rewards shown in the game take precedence.
